Biography

Adina T. Stern is a seasoned California attorney whose career spans more than four decades of civil litigation and transactional work. She has been a member of the California Bar since 1983 and graduated with honors from Southwestern University Law School, where she also served as Executive Editor of the Law Review and earned awards for outstanding advocacy, including recognition as the best advocate in the Western United States in the Jessup International Law Moot Court competition. Today, Ms. Stern is widely known for her work in business litigation, real estate disputes, appellate matters, and equine law, and she is often brought in by other lawyers for her insight on challenging cases. Her ability to craft persuasive motions has helped many clients resolve matters early—either through strong settlements or wins on dispositive motions. Ms. Stern’s leadership and service include years on the Orange County Trial Lawyers Association board and editorial work on The Gavel, along with community recognition as a Rotary Paul Harris Fellow and coaching the UC Irvine Mock Trial team. Her practical understanding of real estate and construction comes from working in her family’s development company, and her lifelong involvement with horses gives her a unique advantage in equine-related legal issues. After beginning her career at Cooper, Epstein & Hurewitz, she launched her own firm in 1992, opened an Orange County office in 1998, and has called Orange County home ever since. She is married and has three children.
