Biography

Alan M. Weisberg is a Registered Patent Attorney with an AV (Preeminent) peer rating by Martindale-Hubbel. A former engineer and consultant for IBM, with over 30 years of technical experience, he holds a J.D., cum laude, and an M.S. in Information Systems from Pace University, and a B.S.E.E degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology. Alan has extensive experience in patent and trademark prosecution, intellectual property litigation, legal opinions related to intellectual property, Internet issues, and technology licensing. He has very deep knowledge of computer and communications hardware and software technology.

Mr. Weisberg has been selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America for many years and has also been designated a Florida Superlawyer since 2012. Recognized by other Florida lawyers a “Key Partner” and leading lawyer, he has also been a featured presenter at the Intellectual Property Roundtable, sponsored by the Daily Business Review, and he has been quoted in prominent publications such as the Wall Street Journal. Alan is a former member of the board of directors of the Florida Council of the AeA (formerly the American Electronics Association) and is an active lecturer and panelist. Mr. Weisberg was also instrumental in the creation of the Florida Patent Pro Bono Program.

Alan is licensed to practice law in Florida and New York and is admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida and the Southern, Northern and Eastern Districts of New York.
