Biography

Mr. Forsley is a specialist in bankruptcy law certified by the California State Bar Board of Legal Specialization. He litigates business disputes in state and federal courts and in bankruptcy court in Los Angeles and Orange Counties.

In bankruptcy court, Mr. Forsley represents creditors, debtors and trustees in Chapter 7 and 11 bankruptcy cases, including small business cases under the Small Business Reorganization Act. Mr. Forsley represents clients in bankruptcy adversary matters and contested bankruptcy matters of every kind and has participated in over 12 bankruptcy appeals to the U.S. District Court, Bankruptcy Appellate Panel and the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.

In addition to his bankruptcy practice, Mr. Forsley defends and prosecutes business and commercial disputes, including high dollar collection matters, breach of contract litigation, alter-ego and shareholder derivative actions. Licensed to practice law in California and Massachusetts, Mr. Forsley is admitted to practice in every district in California.

Mr. Forsley is also a member of the Southern California Bankruptcy Inn of Court, the Beverly Hills Bar Association and an officer of the Beverly Hills Bar Foundation, which awards scholarships to financially needy law students dedicated to careers serving disadvantaged communities. Mr. Forsley is also a past Chair, and current member, to the Beverly Hills Bar Association Bankruptcy Section Executive Committee.

Mr. Forsley graduated summa cum laude from the University of California, Irvine, obtained his law degree from the University of San Diego School of Law, and speaks fluent Spanish.
