Biography

Alan Z. Gurvey is the managing partner of the Law Firm of Rowen, Gurvey & Win, bringing extensive experience and leadership since joining in 1992. He holds an Honors Degree in Ethics and Political Philosophy from Brown University and earned his law degree from the University of Manitoba in his hometown of Winnipeg, Canada. Before practicing law, Mr. Gurvey built a diverse career in advertising, entertainment, and media, including roles at Leo Burnett Advertising Agency and NBC’s Legal Department. A certified specialist in workers’ compensation by the California Board of Legal Specialization, Mr. Gurvey is a respected litigator and educator. He has been a featured speaker at industry conventions and legal seminars and serves on the Board of Directors of the California Applicants’ Attorneys Association, co-chairing its educational programs. His contributions to the field have earned him numerous awards, including the Harold W. Wax Outstanding Merit Award and WorkCompCentral’s Comp Laude Award.

Beyond his legal practice, Mr. Gurvey hosts Gurvey’s Law on Talk Radio 790 KABC, interviewing prominent legal and media figures. He has been recognized in Super Lawyers Magazine, BeyondTV, Voyage LA, and Calabasas Style Magazine.
