Biography

Alejandra joined HPM&B in 2015 and became a partner in 2020. As a member of our appellate practice team, she handles briefs and oral arguments in New York’s appellate courts and provides trial support to her colleagues by assisting with legal research and motions. Alejandra also handles all aspects of litigation in malpractice and Civil Rights actions brought against physicians, medical personnel, medical institutions, and The City of New York in New York State and Federal Court.

Prior to joining HPM&B, Alejandra was an associate at a medical malpractice defense firm in the Hudson Valley. She began her legal career as an Assistant District Attorney in the Bronx County District Attorney’s Office where she handled the prosecution of crimes including robberies and attempted murders, from arrest until trial.

Alejandra is a member of the New York State Bar Association, Westchester County Bar Association, New York State Medical Defense Bar Association, and Hudson Valley Hispanic Bar Association (HVHBA). She served as President of the HVHBA during the 2022-2023 term and currently sits on the Board of Governors. She is fluent in Spanish.
