Biography

Alexa Faria is a Litigation Associate in the Civil and Commercial Litigation group at Shibley Righton LLP. She completed her articles with the firm and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2025.Alexa earned her Juris Doctor from the Lincoln Alexander School of Law in 2024, where she served as Co-President of the Innocence Project and volunteered with the Barbra Schlifer Commemorative Clinic, supporting women navigating violence and systemic barriers. In her final year, she completed her Integrated Practice Curriculum (IPC) placement at the Superior Court of Justice, working directly with judges and gaining valuable experience in the judicial process and complex trial proceedings.Before law school, Alexa graduated with an Honours degree in Criminology from York University, with distinction. She went on to work as a court reporter, where she gained exposure to a wide range of legal proceedings.
