Alexandria Suarez is a senior associate in WSHB's Orlando office, handling complex civil litigation. She is experienced in all aspects of the litigation process, including discovery, depositions, settlement negotiations, mediation, summary judgment motions, and trial.
Alexandria's prior experience includes serving as a Felony Assistant State Attorney and holding senior management positions in the 16th Judicial Circuit. As a prosecutor, she successfully tried felony cases and mentored misdemeanor attorneys. In the private sector, Alexandria was successful in obtaining both dismissals and judgments in favor of her clients. Her training as a Florida Circuit Court Mediator has helped her clients successfully negotiate and settle cases when appropriate.
Prior to serving as a State Prosecutor handling felonies involving home health cases, Alexandria handled healthcare provider defense and regulatory compliance.
She earned her law degree, cum laude, from St. Thomas University School of Law. As a second-year law student, Alexandria was selected to serve as an assisted learning instructor for first-year law students, assisted in pro bono clinics, and served on an e-Board for the Animal Legal Defense Fund. After graduation, she continued to give back to her community as an annual guest speaker on behalf of the Miami-Dade Commission on Ethics and Public Trust. Most recently, Alexandria was appointed to the Board of Trustees for the College of the Florida Keys.
Alexandria is the recipient of numerous accolades, including the 2019 Lawyer of Distinction in Civil Litigation Award and 2016 Client Choice Award in Healthcare Law.
