Biography

Prior to joining MLN, Alexis was a litigation associate at a Long Island insurance defense firm where she handled all phases of personal injury litigation. Alexis continues to apply her talent for researching and writing at MLN assisting with appeals, providing trial support, and researching issues related to damages.

Alexis received her law degree from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University, where she served as managing editor of Notes & Comments for the Family Court Review, a peer-reviewed journal published under the auspices of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC). She was also a finalist at the Nassau County Bar Association Moot Court Competition, and studied abroad in Costa Rica, Cuba and Panama as she worked to protect human rights and the education of children. She received a Bachelor of Arts in English and Political Science from Quinnipiac University where she was a member of Pi Sigma Alpha Honor Society in Political Science as well as a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta National Service Sorority.
