Biography

Alfred Hilado’s path to becoming a top advocate for injured workers began with a diverse education, taking him from his Chicago roots to Emory University and then Washington University in St. Louis. While he started his career in 1991 defending employers and insurance companies, he quickly realized his true calling was on the other side of the table. By 1993, Alfred shifted his focus to representing injured workers, driven by a deep understanding of how a workplace accident can upend an entire family’s life. Since then, he has become a formidable force in Florida’s legal system, winning landmark cases before the First District Court of Appeals and the Florida Supreme Court. As a Board Certified specialist in Workers’ Compensation since 1998, Alfred brings a level of expertise few can match. He also leverages his decades of experience to help clients navigate the complexities of Social Security Disability claims. Whether he is leading organizations like the Florida Workers' Advocates or fighting for a client in court, Alfred’s career is defined by a tireless commitment to ensuring that those injured on the job get the support and benefits they truly deserve.
