Alicia L. Smollon, Esq.

Alicia Smollon chose family law because it allows her to help people in the most personal moments of their lives. Throughout her career, she has focused on guiding clients through divorce and custody disputes with compassion, practical advice, and tireless advocacy, helping them find stability for themselves and their children when life feels uncertain. Alicia was born in Annapolis in 1972 and grew up in Glen Burnie and on the Eastern Shore. She graduated from Queen Anne’s County High School in 1990, earned her B.A. from Washington College, and returned to Anne Arundel County to attend the University of Baltimore School of Law. While in law school, she clerked for the Honorable J. Owen Wise in the Circuit Court for Caroline County. Alicia received her J.D. in 1997 and joined the Maryland Bar in 1998. She began her practice in several areas, including personal injury and district court criminal matters, before committing her work to family law. In 2000, she partnered with her law school friend Corrie A. Boulay, and for 23 years they served their community in divorce, custody, access/visitation, child support, alimony, and property division, later adding prenuptial agreements and estate planning as clients returned for help after divorce. Following Corrie’s unexpected passing in January 2024, Alicia continues their work through SmollonLaw, representing Maryland clients in family law as well as wills, powers of attorney, and advance directives. Outside the office, she enjoys cooking, gardening, spending time with her significant other and pets, and volunteering with The Moose to support children at Mooseheart.
