Biography

Aliyah S. Adams is a civil litigator based in the firm’s Raleigh office, where she focuses her practice on premises liability, aviation and aerospace law, trucking and commercial transportation defense, and employment law. She represents corporations, insurers, and individuals in complex civil matters, advocating for clients in both state and federal courts. Her litigation work spans defending property owners in premises liability cases, advising employers in workplace disputes, and navigating transportation and aviation claims.

Aliyah’s approach is strategic, proactive, and client-focused, ensuring that each matter is handled with precision and efficiency. Drawing on her prior experience representing plaintiffs in employment disputes, civil rights litigation, personal injury claims, family law, and criminal defense, she brings valuable insight into opposing strategies, an advantage that strengthens her defense work.

Before joining Cranfill Sumner, Aliyah practiced at firms handling diverse legal matters across multiple practice areas, giving her a broad foundation for navigating multifaceted disputes. She earned her J.D. from North Carolina Central University School of Law, where she served as President of the Business Law Society and discovered her passion for litigation through mock trial competitions. Prior to law school, she graduated from East Carolina University.

Outside the courtroom, Aliyah enjoys collecting vinyl records and traveling.
