Biography

Allison Leach Short is an Associate in the firm’s Orlando office. Her areas of practice include defense work in the areas of insurance and general liability, personal injury, premises liability, and automobile liability.

Mrs. Short received her Bachelor of Arts in Cinema Studies with a minor in Legal Studies from the University of Central Florida. She received her Juris Doctor from Florida A&M College of Law. During her time in law school, Mrs. Short held leadership positions in student organizations with Marshall-Bell, Stonewall, and was the representative of her class with the Florida Bar Law Student Division. In addition, she completed an internship with the Office of the Public Defender, 9th Judicial Circuit.

Prior to working with Cole, Scott, & Kissane, Mrs. Short worked as a Paralegal on workers’ compensation claims and assisted with Guardian ad Litem cases. She is a Notary Public in Florida and has received research certifications from LexisNexis Corporation and Thomas Reuters-Westlaw Corporation.
