Ms. King attended law school at Tulane University, where she served on the Board of the Public Interest Law Foundation. Her work as a Public Defender enhanced her sense of compassion and empathy for her clients, as well as honed her skills as a zealous and effective advocate.

Since returning to Sarasota, Ms. King has been involved in variety of community and legal organizations, and received the Outstanding Service By a Young Lawyer Award from Legal Aid of Manasota. She serves as the co-chair of the Family Law Section of the Sarasota County Bar Association, and is on the Civics Committee of the Sarasota County Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division. Ms. King is a foster pet parent with Sarasota Humane Society, and is also active with Sarasota County Gator Club. She is admitted to practice law in Florida and California.
