Amanda P. Thompson

Amanda Thompson is the firm’s business litigation specialist including bankruptcy and creditors’ rights, complex insurance coverage issues and title insurance company defense. Ms. Thompson was raised by a family of entrepreneurs and learned first hand that good legal service requires not only a mastery of the law but an appreciation of business economics. Legal clients are customers who seek quality, value, and efficiency

Regional and national lenders choose Ms. Thompson when they need to obtain possession of leased equipment or pledged collateral, negotiate forbearance agreements, defend lending practices, defend preference and avoidance actions, or obtain relief from the bankruptcy stay and collect funds. Title insurers utilize Ms. Thompson to defend the validity and priority of their lending policyholders' liens.

Insurance companies choose Ms. Thompson when their policies or their reputations are at issue. Ms. Thompson has successfully defended both bad faith allegations and coverage denials before Kentucky’s appellate courts and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. In 2012, she served as Special Justice on the Kentucky Supreme Court.
