Successful summary judgment and appeal defending a former elected official in business disparagement case brought by a local businessman.
Drafted successful appellate briefs for appellee/defendant in Dallas court of appeals and Supreme Court of Texas. Neither court reversed the take-nothing trial court judgment granted in favor of the client defendant in complicated auditing malpractice case.
Assisted counsel in Chicago by providing analysis of Texas law on insurance policy interpretation and insurance agent obligations, which led to favorable rulings in Illinois court deciding a dispute that involved the application of Texas law.
