Amy N. Spitzer represents professional guardians and fiduciaries, with a focus on guardianship and conservatorship matters. She also advises healthcare facilities on complex patient discharge issues and legal processes for patients who are unable to provide informed consent. With more than a decade of experience in guardianship and healthcare law, she provides practical and steady guidance to fiduciaries and healthcare entities navigating sensitive legal matters.

Amy earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Seattle University School of Law and served on the Seattle University Law Review. She is a past Chair and longtime Executive Committee member of the King County Bar Association Guardianship and Elder Law Section. She regularly speaks to legal and healthcare professionals about guardianship and patient discharge concerns. In 2023, she addressed the Washington State Senate Law & Justice Committee regarding challenges acute-care hospitals face with non-consenting patients. Recognized as a Super Lawyers “Rising Star” in Elder Law each year since 2021, Amy is also active in community service through the Washington Medical-Legal Partnership. Away from the office, she enjoys cooking homemade pasta and walking her dog Dill with her husband in Georgetown.
