Ananya Kumar

Ananya brings a structured, strategic, and client-centered approach to every case. She works closely with clients from the initial case evaluation through negotiation, mediation, litigation, planning, and final resolution. Known for her thorough preparation, clear communication, and practical judgment, Ananya helps clients understand the legal process, identify their goals, and make informed decisions during some of the most important and often emotional moments of their lives.

With experience successfully representing clients in more than 30 mediations, Ananya understands the importance of preparation, negotiation, and problem-solving. She recognizes that many legal matters can be resolved outside the courtroom, but she also believes that strong preparation is what gives clients leverage, whether at the mediation table, before a judge, or when planning for the future. Her goal is to help every client feel heard, prepared, and strongly represented at each stage of the case.Ananya’s practice is strengthened by a rare and valuable international legal background. Licensed in both Texas and India, she brings a cross-cultural perspective that allows her to understand not only the legal issues in a case, but also the personal, cultural, financial, and emotional realities behind them. She regularly works with clients from diverse backgrounds and understands that family disputes, estate planning decisions, and probate matters can be shaped by family expectations, cultural values, financial concerns, generational planning, and long-term stability.

Her legal education spans multiple jurisdictions, including an LL.B. from India, an LL.M. from O.P. Jindal Global University, and an LL.M. from Texas A&M University School of Law, where she attended on a gifted program scholarship. This foundation gives Ananya a strong analytical edge and a disciplined approach to case strategy, negotiation, planning, and advocacy. She uses that perspective to help clients feel understood, prepared, and strongly represented at every stage of their legal matter.

In addition to her legal practice, Ananya is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Business Leadership from the University of the Cumberlands. Her doctoral studies further strengthen her approach to leadership, conflict resolution, negotiation, client advocacy, and effective case management. These skills are especially valuable when clients need both strong legal representation and steady guidance. Outside of the office, Ananya enjoys cooking, watching TV, and trying new recipes. She believes good food, a good show, and a little humor can go a long way, especially after a long day of work.

Community Involvement

Ananya is committed to serving the community beyond her legal practice. While in India, she worked with Gramiksha, a non-governmental organization focused on educating children experiencing homelessness and encouraging them to attend school. Through this work, she supported efforts to provide vulnerable children with educational guidance, mentorship and motivation.

Ananya also served with the National Service Scheme in India, where she visited old age homes, spent time with the elderly residents and conducted activities designed to uplift and support seniors.

During the testing times of Covid-19 Pandemic, Ananya organized food drives to distribute food packets to individuals and families in need. These experiences reflect her commitment to compassion, service and practical support for people facing difficult circumstances.
