Andrew Grindstaff

Andrew Grindstaff is an associate in KDV’s San Francisco office where he focuses his practice on real estate law. He handles commercial and residential real estate transactions, including LLC formation, due diligence, and purchase and sale agreement drafting. He also advises clients in land use matters.

Prior to joining KDV, Mr. Grindstaff interned with the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission preparing disclosure adequacy statements and drafting memoranda about conflicting court rulings on common enterprise and post-Dodd-Frank liability. He also served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Roderick C. Young in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.

During law school in Virginia, Mr. Grindstaff worked at a commercial bank where he helped to determine merger filing requirements for subsidiary companies, reviewed outside counsel agreements to ensure compliant conduct, and produced funds tracing analyses for bankruptcy and fraudulent transfer cases. He also worked for a Washington, D.C. law firm where he assisted in eminent domain cases, CFIUS submissions, and SEC and DOJ investigations.

Mr. Grindstaff served as executive articles editor on his law school’s Bill of Rights Journal and competed on their Transactional Law Team.
