Andrew Lapat

Senior Counsel Andrew Lapat brings more than three decades of legal experience to Edelson Lechtzin LLP. His career has included both complex litigation and sophisticated transactional work, and he has built a reputation for achieving excellent outcomes through careful preparation and practical judgment. Mr. Lapat started practicing law in 1989 at Berger Montague PC, where he worked on securities fraud class actions. He then moved to Chimicles Schwartz Kriner & Donaldson-Smith LLP, concentrating on antitrust class action litigation and mass tort matters. Later, as a partner at Stein & Silverman, P.C., he tried and litigated a wide range of cases, including intellectual property disputes, contract and business conflicts, legal malpractice claims, and property-related litigation. During that same period, he also advised clients on transactions such as business acquisitions and sales and commercial real estate deals. In 2006, Mr. Lapat launched his own firm, the Law Offices of Andrew Lapat, LLC, where he continued representing a broad array of clients and achieved success in both trial and appellate courts. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania (1986) and his law degree from Boston University School of Law (1989). He is admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar and the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
