Biography

Andrew Cox is a Partner in the firm’s Civil Litigation group. Andrew handles a wide range of civil disputes, including those involving contracts, torts, fiduciary duties, business issues, real estate, commercial leases, trusts, insurance, and other areas. Andrew appears on behalf of clients in federal and state courts in California, as well as in mediation and arbitration. Andrew also assists clients with contentious real estate development and land use entitlement projects, especially those involving the application of state housing laws.

Before joining the firm, Andrew practiced with Irwin Fritchie Urquhart Moore & Daniels, LLC in New Orleans, Louisiana where he primarily defended medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturers in product liability lawsuits.

Andrew clerked for Judge Jacques L. Wiener at the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and Judge Jane T. Milazzo at the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana.

Outside of work, Andrew enjoys spending time with his family, especially outdoors hiking, fishing, and sailing, and tinkering with computer coding projects.
