Biography

Andrew N. Becker is a seasoned trial attorney and a founding partner of Becker Franklin Rovang, PLLC, a distinguished law firm located in Port Orchard, Kitsap County. Alongside his longtime friends and fellow trial attorneys, David Rovang and Steve C. Franklin, Mr. Becker focuses on representing plaintiffs in car accident claims. His legal journey commenced with Cum Laude honors from the University of Puget Sound School of Law in 1984, following an undergraduate degree earned at the University of California at Berkeley.

Dedicated to professional excellence, Mr. Becker's leadership is underscored by his role as the President of the Kitsap County Bar Association in 1998. An Eagle member of WSAJ, the Washington Trial Lawyers’ organization, he twice chaired the WSAJ Kitsap Roundtable and served on the Washington Bar Association’s Disciplinary Board from 1992 to 1995. With a commitment to upholding ethical standards, he also served as Special Disciplinary Counsel and as a member of the Washington Bar Association’s Character and Fitness Committee.

Recognized for his legal prowess, Mr. Becker has twice been honored as a Super Lawyer by Washington Law and Politics. He was voted "Best Attorney" of South Kitsap twice by the readers of the Port Orchard Independent. A trusted mediator, Mr. Becker was an inaugural member of the Kitsap County Superior Court’s Mediation Panel and served as a Federal Court 39.1 mediator. He also contributed significantly as a judge pro tempore in local district and municipal courts.

While his primary focus lies in representing plaintiffs injured in car collisions, Mr. Becker has left an indelible mark in significant cases, including Trask v. Kitsap County, resulting in a $4.7 million settlement against Kitsap County, and Kim K. and Gabrielle H. v. Harper and Church of South Colby, leading to the forfeiture of church property in a case involving child sexual abuse. Recently invited and accepted into the Million Dollar Advocate Forum, an exclusive honor for the top trial lawyers in the U.S. (with fewer than 1% of lawyers as members), Mr. Becker continues to be a stalwart advocate for justice.

Beyond the courtroom, Mr. Becker finds joy in family time, global travel, and literary pursuits. Learn more about his diverse interests and authored works at http://andybecker.life/spiritual-gardener/.
