Born in Philadelphia, Mr. Winston attended Pennsylvania State University and earned his B.A from Temple University, graduating cum laude with honors in 1990. He then received his J.D. from Nova Southeastern University Law School in 1994.
Andrew is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Mediator and a Florida Supreme Court Qualified Arbitrator. He has been a litigator and trial lawyer in the state of Florida for over 30 years. During that time, he represented both plaintiffs and defendants. Mr. Winston gained valuable experience working for two South Florida insurance defense firms and then made the switch to plaintiff personal injury, professional malpractice and wrongful death matters.
He is admitted to practice before all Florida courts, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, and the United States 11th Circuit Court of Appeals, and has been recognized for his excellence many ways, including being admitted to the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, achieving a 10/10 Avvo rating, earning an AV Preeminent rating from the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory, being named one of Florida’s Top 100 Lawyers for 2015-2016 and 2019-2021 and being voted to Florida Trend’s “Legal Elite” and as a Florida “SuperLawyer” – an honor reserved for the top 5% of lawyers in the state – every year since 2011. In 2024, the South Florida Daily Business Review named Andrew one of the "Top 3 Mediators" in the State. Andrew also served as the co-Chair for the Broward County Bar Associations's ADR Practice Group for the years 2023 through 2025, and has been a member of the BCBA's Bench & Bar Committee since 2019.
