Biography

Angelica C. Schultis focuses her practice in the areas of Family Law, Social Security Disability and Veterans Disability. An accredited attorney with the Department of Veterans Affairs, she is a dedicated veterans’ disability advocate. She also serves as a guardian ad litem for family law cases and is a registered family law mediator on the Indiana Registry of Approved Court Mediators.

Before joining the firm in 2011, Ms. Schultis practiced Social Security Disability and Veterans Disability law with a multi-state law firm. She earned a Paralegal Diploma from Northwestern College in 1995 and a bachelor’s degree in general studies and political science from Indiana University South Bend in 2004. She then advanced her legal career by graduating from Valparaiso University School of Law in 2008. During law school, she was honored to serve as a federal judicial extern to Hon. William C. Lee and to Hon. Allen Sharp.

Ms. Schultis has presented and lectured at numerous continuing legal education forums, Inns of Court, and other groups. Her article “Veteran Disability and Attorney Representation,” was published by the Indiana Bar Association in its November 2023 publication Res Gestae. Martindale-Hubbell, a prime resource leader for attorneys, awarded her its Platinum Client Champion Award in 2022, 2023, and 2024, recognizing her ongoing commitment to delivering excellent client service.

Actively engaged in her community, Ms. Schultis currently serves as President of the Board of Directors for Family House, a non-profit organization in Valparaiso, as well as serves on the Board of Directors for the Valparaiso Chamber of Commerce.

Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and raised in Churubusco, Indiana, Ms. Schultis graduated from Churubusco High School in 1994. After living and working in South Bend as a paralegal, she moved to Valparaiso in 2011. Her background and experience in multiple geographic areas of Indiana enables her to provide a unique understanding and perspective to her clients, whether they live in the Fort Wayne area or Northwest Indiana.

Outside of work, Ms. Schultis enjoys baking and cake-decorating, is a proud Aunt “Gigi,” and is a cat mom to Reagan and Saydee.
