Anna C. Palacios

Anna Palacios-Valdez is a licensed attorney in Texas and a cum laude graduate of Thurgood Marshall School of Law. Known for her sharp legal mind and unwavering commitment to public service, Anna has distinguished herself through academic honors, including consistent placement on the Dean’s List and recognition from leading legal organizations, including the Mexican American Bar Association of Houston, Texas; Hispanic Bar Association; and the LGBTQ+ Law Section of the Austin Bar Foundation.

With strong research and litigation skills, she has contributed to complex civil litigation, criminal defense, and probate matters. Her experience spans clerkships with a criminal defense firm and Probate Court No. 2 under Judge Pamela Medina and includes working as an attorney handling landlord/tenant issues, where she excelled in motion drafting, evidence review, and bilingual client advocacy.

Anna is known for her sharp legal reasoning, precise analytical skills, and strong command of civil procedure and criminal law. These legal strengths are complemented by her deep commitment to mentorship, advocacy, and inclusion. During her time in law school, she held prominent leadership roles, including President of the Hispanic Law Student Association, Vice President of the LGBTQIA+ Association, and Treasurer of the Student Ambassador Program, where she created opportunities for peer connection, fostered diverse dialogue, and championed underrepresented voices.

Beyond campus, Anna has demonstrated a consistent dedication to community impact. She has contributed to political campaigns focused on criminal justice reform and organized campus events addressing legal developments in LGBTQ+ rights. Her efforts reflect a legal career rooted in ethical integrity, public service, and the pursuit of equity within the legal system.
