Anna Maria Petracca, Esq. is a family law attorney with Weinberger Divorce & Family Law Group, LLC., where she provides her clients with skilled legal guidance and advocacy in all areas of family and matrimonial law, including divorce, child custody and parenting time, child support, alimony, equitable distribution, domestic violence, divorce appeals, and post-judgment matters.
Anna discovered her passion for family law when friends and family began turning to her for legal guidance in their marriage, divorce, and post-judgment issues. She was drawn to the unique challenges of the field — from complex parenting matters to financial disputes — and to the profound impact these cases have on people’s lives. Her own divorce deepened her understanding of what clients experience and strengthened her resolve to help others find stability, clarity, and hope during life’s most difficult transitions.
With over two decades of experience, Anna is known for her compassionate and detail-oriented approach. She digs into every detail, often uncovering information that might otherwise go overlooked. She asks the right questions, listens closely, and ensures she understands her clients as people, not just as cases. At the same time, she communicates with clarity and patience, breaking down even the most complex legal processes into terms her clients can easily understand.
In every case, Anna balances thoughtful guidance with assertive representation, tailoring her strategy to protect each client’s best interests. She prioritizes out-of-court resolutions whenever possible but litigates vigorously when necessary. Deeply aware of the impact family law matters have on children, Anna is especially committed to safeguarding children’s well-being and fostering stability during times of transition.
In addition to her practice in New Jersey, Anna practiced law in Italy for several years, representing clients in matters ranging from family law to labor disputes. This international background gives her unique expertise in cross-border divorce and custody disputes, as well as property division involving overseas business assets. She has also handled matters involving wrongful termination as well as special education law, adding further depth to her understanding of family dynamics and children’s needs. Her years as a middle school teacher and her experience with special education students, provided valuable insight into how family challenges affect children and reinforced her commitment to supporting their well-being.
Anna earned her Juris Doctor from Rutgers Law School in Newark, New Jersey. While in law school, she expanded her litigation and courtroom experience as a legal intern to the Honorable Mark P. Ciarrocca in Union County and as a summer law clerk with the firm of Di Francesco, Bateman, Coley, Yospin, Kunzman, Davis, Lehrer & Flaum, P.C. She is a proud member of the New Jersey State Bar Association.
Outside the office, Anna is passionate about fitness and bodybuilding, often beginning her mornings at the gym before dawn. She also enjoys DIY home renovation projects, staying active with her two children, and the lively company of her small but spirited dog.
