Anna Maria Petracca, Esq.: Attorney with Weinberger Divorce & Family Law Group, LLC

Biography

Anna Maria Petracca, Esq. is a family law attorney with Weinberger Divorce & Family Law Group, LLC. Drawing from over two decades of experience, Anna provides her clients with trusted legal representation in all aspects of family and matrimonial law, including divorce, child custody and parenting time, child support, alimony, equitable distribution, domestic violence, divorce appeals, and post-judgment matters.

Anna discovered her passion for family law early in her career as friends and family increasingly sought her guidance for their marriage, divorce, and post-judgment issues. She was drawn to the unique challenges of the field — from complex parenting matters to financial disputes — and to the profound impact these situations have on people’s lives. Having gone through her own divorce, she knows firsthand the immense emotional and financial challenges her clients face. This personal perspective allows Anna to provide not only skilled legal advocacy but also genuine empathy, helping clients feel heard, supported, and understood.

Known for her compassionate and strategic approach to resolving her clients’ matters, Anna is committed to finding solutions that minimize conflict and safeguard what matters most — family, financial security, and future stability. Whether through skillful negotiation or assertive courtroom advocacy, she tailors strategies to each client’s unique needs, always with the goal of protecting their rights and achieving outcomes aligned with their priorities. Deeply aware of the impact family law disputes have on children, Anna is especially dedicated to ensuring their safety and stability.

“I genuinely care about my clients and their families and will leave no stone unturned. This is far more than a job to me — I am fully invested in helping my clients move forward with confidence and peace of mind,” Anna explains.

Before practicing family law in New Jersey, Anna practiced law in Italy for several years, representing clients in matters ranging from family law to labor disputes. This international background gives her distinct expertise in cross-border divorce and custody disputes, as well as property division involving overseas business assets.

Anna has also handled matters involving special education law, deepening her understanding of children’s needs and best interests. Her added background as a middle school teacher further strengthens her sensitivity to children’s issues and also helps her to clearly communicate complex legal issues in everyday, jargon-free language.

Anna earned her Juris Doctor from Rutgers Law School in Newark, New Jersey. During law school, she gained practical experience as a legal intern to the Honorable Mark P. Ciarrocca in Union County and as a summer law clerk with the firm of Di Francesco, Bateman, Coley, Yospin, Kunzman, Davis, Lehrer & Flaum, P.C. These early roles sharpened her courtroom skills, gave her insight into judicial decision-making, and built the foundation for the winning strategies she uses today. Anna is an active member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, demonstrating her dedication to professional growth and connection within the state’s legal community.

Outside the office, Anna is passionate about fitness and bodybuilding and will often begin her mornings at the gym before dawn. She also enjoys DIY home renovation projects, staying active with her two children, and the lively company of her small but spirited dog.
