EXPERIENCEAnnabel Shea is an attorney in the firm’s Education, Workers’ Compensation, and Municipal Practice Group. Ms. Shea defends school districts, employers and municipalities in all areas of civil litigation. Her practice focuses on complex and nuanced legal issues impacting clients such as: Title IX, governmental immunity, FERPA, employment law, Child Protection Law, civil rights, constitutional law, and workers’ compensation.
Ms. Shea is admitted to practice in the State of Michigan. She graduated magna cum laude from Michigan State College of Law. Ms. Shea is a tribal member of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians and obtained her Indigenous Law Certificate from the Michigan State College of Law’s Indigenous Law Program. Prior to joining Giarmarco, Mullins and Horton, P.C., Ms. Shea worked as a Legal Extern for the Honorable Maria L. Oxholm at the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
