Biography

Annie Howard is an associate in the firm’s litigation section. She concentrates her practice on the representation of physicians, hospitals, dentists and other healthcare providers in defense of malpractice lawsuits and employment matters, including workers' compensation.

Ms. Howard obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she double majored in Economics and Journalism and Mass Communication. She obtained her law degree from the University of Tennessee, where she graduated with highest honors. While in law school, Ms. Howard was on the editorial board for the Tennessee Law Review and was an editor and was published by Transactions: The Tennessee Journal of Business Law. In her third year, she advanced to final round of the school’s appellate advocacy competition, where she argued before Associate Justice Elena Kagan of the United States Supreme Court and other federal appellate court judges.
