Annie M. Wanless: Attorney with Lieff, Cabraser, Heimann & Bernstein, LLP

Biography

Annie M. Wanless is an associate in Lieff Cabraser’s San Francisco office, where she focuses on consumer class actions and mass tort litigation. She is dedicated to advocating for the rights of individuals affected by corporate misconduct and other harmful practices.

Annie is an integral member of the leadership team in several high-profile cases. These include the Uber sexual assault multi-district litigation, which alleges negligence by the rideshare giant in preventing, detecting, and responding to sexual violence in its vehicles, and the Camp Lejeune toxic water litigation, which seeks justice on behalf of Marine veterans and their families who were exposed to contaminated water by the government. Annie serves on the Law & Briefing committee of both litigations.

Annie graduated from Stanford Law School, where she focused on gaining hands-on legal experience through practicums and externships. By graduation, Annie had filed briefs or amicus briefs at the federal district, appellate, and Supreme Court levels. She was actively involved in numerous campus organizations, including serving as a member of the Stanford Law Review. Despite her best efforts, Annie was not an integral member of the law school’s intramural sand volleyball team.

Prior to joining Lieff Cabraser, Annie clerked for Judge Richard Paez of the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Before practicing law, Annie worked in local government in the Bay Area.
