Biography

Anthony E. Galyean joined the Firm in 1998. Before joining the Firm, he served as a judicial clerk in the San Diego Superior Courts and as a member of the Writs, Trials and Appeals Unit of the Office of the California Attorney General.   Mr. Galyean is a Shareholder of the Firm and serves as the company's corporate secretary.   Mr. Galyean received a B.S. in Criminal Justice from California State University, Sacramento in 1992 graduating Magna Cum Laude and thereafter earned his Juris Doctorate Degree from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in 1997. He was admitted to practice law in 1998. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Galyean owned and operated his own business in the San Francisco Bay Area for approximately two years.   Mr. Galyean's prior business experience is of particular assistance to his clients. He specializes in the areas of commercial law, business disputes, construction law, contracts, civil litigation, municipal law, insurance defense litigation, real estate law, land/lord tenant law and agricultural law. Mr. Galyean's practice focuses on both transactional matters and litigation. Mr. Galyean practices in municipal law and he is presently the City Attorney for the City of Gridley.   Mr. Galyean is a member of the State Bar of California, Yuba-Sutter Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. He is also a member of the American Criminal Justice Association and the Northern California Association of Defense Counsel. He is also a mediator for the Yuba County Superior Court.   Mr. Galyean is active in the Yuba City Rotary Club, where he served as the President in 2005-2006.   Mr. Galyean is admitted to practice before the California State Courts, United States District Court of California-Eastern District, and United States District of California-Southern District.
