Biography

Mr. Maldonado is a US-Mexico cross-border attorney licensed to practice law in both the United States, in California and New York, and throughout Mexico since the year 2000. He is the founder and principal of Maldonado Law Group, and actively litigates in courts located in California and in Mexico, primarily in Baja California and Baja California Sur. Mr. Maldonado is bilingual in English and Spanish with complete fluency in the legal systems of both the United States and Mexico. He earned a Licenciatura en Derecho (LLB) degree from the Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM) in Monterrey, Mexico and a Master of Laws (LLM) degree from American University in Washington D.C.

Mr. Maldonado has been recognized by regional publications in California as one of San Diego's best attorneys in the areas of international law and business law, and has been rated "Superb" 10 out of 10 by Avvo. He has many times served as an expert witness on Mexican Law in US litigation matters, having been a court-appointed expert on Mexico Law by the Supreme Court of California in Los Angeles County. He is an active member of the following organizations: American Bar Association (International Law Section and Litigation Section), State Bar of California (International Law Section and Litigation Section), Los Angeles County Bar Association (International Law Section), San Diego County Bar Association (International Law Section), the U.S.-Mexico Chamber of Commerce (California Pacific Chapter, Member of the Advisory Board) and the American Inns of Court (William B. Enright Inn of Court, Barrister member).
