Anya Cintron Stern is dedicated to addressing Florida matrimonial and
family law matters, showcasing a wealth of experience and knowledge
in her practice. She earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Cell
Molecular Biology Genetics from the University of Maryland, College
Park, and subsequently obtained her law degree from Nova Southeastern
University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
During her time
in law school, Anya actively participated in the Moot Court Honor’s
Society, engaging in national competitions against high-ranked law
schools. Additionally, she contributed to the field by editing
international legal articles with the ILSA Journal of International
and Comparative Law.
As a seasoned
litigator, Anya has successfully handled well over 50 jury and bench
trials, demonstrating proficiency in both trial and appellate court
proceedings. Her practice spans various aspects of matrimonial and
family law, encompassing contested and uncontested marriage
dissolution proceedings. She excels in drafting and negotiating
prenuptial agreements, postnuptial agreements, and cohabitation
agreements. Anya adeptly handles actions for alimony, time-sharing,
child support, relocation, paternity, paternity disestablishment,
post-judgment proceedings, marital settlement agreements, adoptions,
and domestic violence injunctions.
Anya is an
esteemed member of the Florida Bar Family Law Section and holds the
position of Barrister at the First Family Law American Inn of Court.
Her contributions extend to scholarly legal publications, where she
has been published on issues concerning matrimonial and family law.
Beyond her professional commitments, Anya actively engages in the
local community, volunteering her time to support children in foster
care and shelters, as well as assisting low-income families.
