Biography

Arlene draws on her multi-lingual (Spanish, English and Portuguese) and multicultural background when advising domestic and multi-jurisdictional ultra-high net worth individuals, families, family offices, privately held businesses, non-profit foundations, trustees and other fiduciaries on a variety corporate, tax, and estate planning matters. Arlene counsels clients on balancing the legal and emotional issues related to managing family assets and planning for succession. She also has extensive experience representing multinational companies in complex cross border transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, and financings.

Arlene obtained her B.A. from Yale University and her J.D. from Harvard Law School. Prior to joining the Loeb Block team, Arlene was a senior attorney at Hunton & Williams LLP (now Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP), where she specialized in domestic and international corporate transactional matters representing multi-national companies.
