Arslan Umarov

Arslan Umarov’s path to the law was forged in a fight for justice long before he entered a courtroom. After his family fled political persecution in Uzbekistan, Arslan spent years rallying international support to free his father, who had been unjustly imprisoned by a dictator. That experience didn’t just shape his character, it gave him a firsthand understanding of why a strong, vocal advocate is so vital. Today, he brings that same tenacity to his work in New Mexico. With over a decade of experience, including seven years at the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services and time as a hospital’s general counsel, Arslan knows the healthcare system from the inside out. This unique perspective, combined with advanced trial training and mentorship from James Wood, makes him a formidable force in the courtroom. He’s a Texas Tech Law graduate who believes that every client deserves a voice that cannot be suppressed. Outside of his practice, Arslan is a devoted husband and father of two daughters. Whether he’s traveling or enjoying a good book, he never loses sight of the American Dream he worked so hard to achieve for his family and his community.
