Biography

'The work of medical malpractice defense involves a thorough examination of all of the medical aspects involved to highlight the integrity and professionalism of healthcare practitioners. There is immense satisfaction when investigating and collaborating with our colleagues and our clients to explore the intricacies behind each case. I believe my work goes beyond the courtroom to ensure that our frontline workers are remembered for the invaluable work they do.”

Senior Trial Partner Aryeh Klonsky is inquisitive by nature. He thoroughly enjoys the investigative side of a case, working with clients and medical experts to best understand how and why an alleged injury or claim of negligence has occurred. This entails a deep examination of the case issues, including the intricacies of the medicine involved. While taking into account the varying perspectives of the plaintiff, defendant, and jury, Ari works to formulate an effective and appropriate defense strategy to achieve the best possible outcome.

Ari finds it very rewarding to represent health care professionals and assist them through the stressful, high risk, high frustration aspects of a lawsuit. In his words, “They put their all into their work helping patients, and it is our job to do the same for them.” For him, this means endless preparation and always being available to meet, discuss, and address all of his clients’ concerns.

His 18+ years of experience include:

•Defense of medical malpractice and professional liability claims from inception through trial, including representing the Firm’s clients at depositions and mediations in civil, state and federal courts.

•Representation of hospitals, ambulatory centers, physician group practices, and specialty medical practices (as well as their affiliate staff employees) in a variety of complex medical malpractice and professional misconduct matters.

•Defense of physicians across multiple specialties (including neurosurgeons, orthopedic surgeons, ophthalmologists, anesthesiologists, gastroenterologists and radiologists) in malpractice and professional liability matters.

Ari is rated AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell, their highest rating.* He has published numerous articles of interest to the medical and legal communities and has written articles for the Firm’s newsletter, Defense Practice Update.
