Biography

Ashley Cook is an associate in the Albuquerque office. A graduate of the University of New Mexico, she received her J.D. with a certificate in Natural Resources and Environmental Law in 2019 and her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry in 2015. While in law school, Ms. Cook served as the Co-President for the Environmental Law Society, served as the Article Manuscript Editor for the Natural Resources Journal, and an oralist for the UNMSOL Hispanic National Bar Association Moot Court Team. Also while in law school, she also clerked for the United States Department of Justice - Office of International Affairs in Washington, D.C., where she assisted in high-profile extraditions and aided domestic and foreign governments with evidence gathering.

Before joining the Firm, Ms. Cook gained experience at Albuquerque based civil- and trial-focused firms and a bankruptcy firm, giving her deep ties in the area and a strong-client focused approach to law. Ms. Cook practices in the areas of civil and commercial litigation, including handling personal injury defense, insurance defense, coverage and bad faith, medical malpractice, construction defect, creditor’s rights, bankruptcy, business and banking, and regulatory matters.

In her free time, Ashley can either be found at a coffee shop with a fiction book or a knitting project, or traveling to another city to find the best food spots.
