Biography

Ashley L. Choo joined Kobayashi Sugita & Goda in 2024. She focuses her law practice on estate planning, probate and trust administration, and business formation and transactions.

Education

Ms. Choo earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco (formerly known as University of California, Hastings College of the Law) with a concentration in Health Law. While in law school, she served as staff editor and executive development editor for the Environmental Law Journal and served on the executive board for the Video Game Law Society. Ms. Choo also participated in the Medical Legal Partnership for Seniors Clinic where she handled her own client cases to draft wills and advance health care directives for older adult patients of UCSF and the San Francisco VA Medical Center.

Prior to law school, Ms. Choo received her Bachelor’s degree, cum laude, from the University of Hawaii at Manoa where she majored in Public Health and minored in English. There, she received the Manoa Political Internship Program scholarship and worked at the United States House of Representatives and Hawaii State Capitol.
