Atty. Kathleen O. Curran

Kathleen Curran’s choice to pursue a career in law was sparked by her desire to help others. This spark grew into a passion, and she now has over a decade of experience in helping clients throughout Wisconsin. Her focuses include most major areas of family law including divorce, child custody, and child support.

Kathleen is an empathetic and nuanced advocate for her clients. Every person is unique, and Kathleen likes to take the time to understand the intricacies of each client's situation.

Divorce isn't about simply winning or losing, but preparing for the next successful chapter of one's life. Kathleen hones in on her client's interests and needs and educates them on how to best move forward.

She is an avid problem solver and loves the constant challenges and opportunities to learn that family law provides. Family law cases often result in big life changes, and she is ready to help her clients transition. Sometimes, that transition doesn't come easily.

Kathleen recalls a time when a difficult client came to her years later to thank her for all she accomplished for them. But this is par for the course. No matter who you are, or what problems you face, Kathleen goes above and beyond to get a great result.

Kathleen graduated from Marquette Law School in 1991. From 2006, she worked at Eustice, Laffey, Sebranek & Auby S.C., a firm that primarily focused on family law, along with estate planning and probate. In 2016, she completed her training in collaborative law and is ready to help clients in low-conflict scenarios.

Additionally, Kathleen has been active within the community in her home of Sun Prairie. In the past, she served as a member of the board for the Public Library Foundation, and the Quarterback Club. She is still a member of the Women's Golf Association and happily gives her time to the Volunteer Sunshine Legal Clinic.

Kathleen lives in Sun Prairie with her husband Peter and is the proud mother of two sons, Ryan and J.P.

Outside of her passions for law, she enjoys experiencing the seasons up at the Greater Bass Lake and enjoying the wonderful beer and cheese that Wisconsin has to offer.
