Atty. Ryan Gorman Braithwaite

Ryan is a shareholder with Crivello Carlson, having joined the firm in the Spring of 2001.

As a member of the Municipal Team, his practice has focused on municipal and civil rights litigation and complex commercial litigation, with an emphasis on federal and appellate litigation. Within municipal law he has developed a number of practice areas, including tax assessment, condemnation, and other land use litigation; open meetings/records, excessive force and equal protection litigation, and employment. His general litigation experience has emphasized product liability, commercial disputes, insurance coverage and trademark and copyright litigation.

Ryan is a member of the American Bar Association, State Bar of Wisconsin, Milwaukee Bar Association, and Civil Trial Counsel of Wisconsin, and a former member of the Thomas E. Fairchild Inns of Court.

Ryan has argued before the Wisconsin Court of Appeals and the Seventh Circuit. He has authored articles for the Wisconsin Law Journal, Civil Trial Counsel of Wisconsin and Wisconsin Realtor Magazine. He has presented on a variety of topics before the Civil Trial Counsel of Wisconsin and the State Bar, most recently on open meetings at the State Bar Annual Open Meetings/Records conference at the end of September.

Ryan was named a Rising Star in 2007 and 2011 by Super Lawyers Magazine.
