Biography

Austin Scott Newell is an Associate in the firm's Orlando office. He practices general litigation, premises liability, trucking accident defense, and vehicle negligence. Mr. Newell is a Tallahassee native with a strong foundation in trial advocacy and a lifelong connection to the state he serves. He earned his Juris Doctor from Barry University Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law, where he distinguished himself through competitive litigation and courtroom-focused training. During law school, Mr. Newell was an active member of the trial advocacy program and competed in two major trial team competitions, representing his law school at the Florida Justice Association and American Association for Justice Trial Advocacy Competitions. His teams advanced to the final round in both competitions, reflecting his skill in case strategy, witness examination, and persuasive advocacy. He was awarded Advocate of the Year by the Barry Trial Team for his accomplishments. Mr.Newell brings a disciplined, results-driven mindset to his practice, shaped by hands-on litigation experience and a commitment to preparation and professionalism. Outside the courtroom, he is a proud Florida State fan and remains deeply connected to the Tallahassee community.
