Biography

Austin Powell was born and raised in Clearwater, Florida. He graduated from the University of Central Florida with a major in Political Science and a minor in Intelligence and National Security. He received his legal education at Stetson University College of Law and graduated with a Certificate of Concentration in Advocacy. While in law school, Mr. Powell served as a Judicial Intern to the Honorable Rex Barbas in the 13th Judicial Circuit in Hillsborough County, a Certified Legal Intern for the Office of the State Attorney in the 6th Circuit in Pinellas County, and a law clerk at La Cava Jacobson & Goodis. Mr. Powell is also an active member in the Barney Masterson Inn of Court. Mr. Powell is an Associate at La Cava Jacobson & Goodis and will be handling the defense of general liability, premises liability and medical negligence cases.
