Ava C. McCann

Ava McCann is an Associate Attorney in the Real Estate group at Hinman, Howard, & Kattell. Her practice focuses on advising clients and lending institutions on all aspects of residential and commercial real estate transactions.

Ava received her B.A. in Economics and English from St. Lawrence University, graduating Magna Cum Laude. There, she was Vice President of Omicron Delta Kappa leadership Honor Society and an All-Conference student-athlete on the women’s basketball team, holding several statistical records as a shooting guard.She received her J.D. from Syracuse University College of Law, graduating Cum Laude. During her time at Syracuse, Ava was Executive Editor on Law Review, an Academic Success Fellow, an active member of Advocacy Honor Society, Justinian Honorary Law Society, and a CALI award recipient for top performance in Legal Research and Writing.Ava is a native of Binghamton New York and a graduate of Seton Catholic Central High School, where she and her team were inducted into the school Hall of Fame for winning the 2017 State and Federation Girls Basketball Championships.She serves as a mentor in the Greater Binghamton Chamber of Commerce Broome Women Lead Program.
