Biography

Sunny practices in the areas of mergers & acquisitions, real estate law, corporate commercial and commercial lending. His experience includes acting as lead counsel on numerous mergers & acquisitions transactions nationally and internationally, real estate development projects, equity and/or debt financings, corporate reorganizations, corporate governance matters, complex real estate transactions and structuring private companies and partnerships.

Sunny started at Farris as a summer student in 2009 and remained with Farris until 2015. He has deep ties to the Fraser Valley and moved to Surrey to build his practice. In 2023 Sunny returned to Farris as a partner. Sunny stays involved in the Fraser Valley community by participating in several community business organizations and speaking at seminars.

Sunny is repeatedly recognized in the Best Lawyers in Canada Directory as a leading lawyer in the area of corporate law. In 2024, Sunny was listed as one of Lexpert’s Rising Stars: Leading Lawyers Under 40.
