Biography

Bari Zell Weinberger is a nationally recognized authority in New Jersey divorce and family law

and the Founder and Managing Partner of Weinberger Divorce & Family Law Group, LLC.

Practicing exclusively in matrimonial and family law, she represents clients across the full

spectrum of divorce-related matters, including child custody and parenting time, child support,

alimony, division of assets and property, and complex financial litigation. Her client-focused

philosophy centers on equipping individuals with the knowledge and strategy they need to

protect their children, their financial interests, and their long-term well-being.

Among her most significant professional credentials, Bari is designated by the New Jersey

Supreme Court as a Certified Matrimonial Attorney, a distinction held by fewer than 0.5% of

attorneys practicing in New Jersey. Achieving this certification requires demonstrated mastery of

family law, substantial experience, and a high standard of peer evaluation, offering clients

meaningful assurance of her qualifications.

Bari is also a court-approved Family Law Mediator and trained in the specialty of collaborative

divorce. This breadth of capability allows her to pursue the most appropriate resolution strategy

for each client, from resolute courtroom representation to private, interest-based processes that

minimize conflict and cost.

Her expertise is widely sought by the media. Bari has contributed commentary on divorce and

family law issues to prominent outlets including The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, CBS, ABC,

and the New Jersey Law Journal. Bari is also the author of a consumer-oriented book and guide

series addressing key family law topics, and has served as an editor and associate author of

New Jersey Family Law Practice, an authoritative multi-volume legal treatise consulted by

judges and practitioners across New Jersey.

Professional honors include the AV Preeminent® rating — Martindale-Hubbell's highest peer

review distinction — along with Super Lawyers recognition, listing on Best Lawyers in New

Jersey and Best Lawyers in the United States, multiple Client Satisfaction Awards, Top Woman

in the Law recognition from the New Jersey Law Journal, and Top 50 Women in Business

honors from NJBIZ.

Before establishing her firm, Bari clerked in the New Jersey Family Part, where she gained

direct insight into judicial decision-making in family law, experience that continues to inform her

case strategy and preparation.

Clients consistently point to Bari’s combination of rigorous legal skill, strategic clarity, and

personal commitment as defining qualities of working with her. Through thoughtful counsel and

strong advocacy, she helps individuals navigate one of life’s most difficult transitions with greater

confidence — protecting what matters most while helping them move toward a more stable and

secure future.
