Biography

Benjamin F. Colburn is a shareholder and trial lawyer with Dickie, McCamey & Chilcote, P.C. He has tried several cases to verdict, principally in product liability, energy, and railroad matters.

Mr. Colburn is a member of the firm’s Product Liability Group . He routinely represents national and international industrial, agricultural, commercial, and consumer product manufacturers and suppliers in personal injury and commercial litigation, as well as counseling manufacturers and retailers on product warnings, instructions, product manual contents, and commercial terms and conditions. He also regularly represents oil and gas production companies and service providers in personal injury and commercial litigation. Such practice includes the litigation of well site accidents and failures, gas migration, lease challenges, mineral trespass, and royalty disputes throughout the Appalachian Basin.

The breadth of Mr. Colburn’s practice also encompasses representation of railroad companies in Federal Employers’ Liability Act (FELA) and state tort claim litigation. He is a member of the firm’s Railroad Law, Litigation and Regulatory Counsel Group .
