Benjamin R. La Luzerne

Benjamin La Luzerne is an associate in the Las Vegas office of Resnick & Louis, P.C. focusing his practice on insurance defense, premises liability, and commercial litigation matters.

Prior to joining the firm, Ben practiced insurance defense, including premises liability and motor vehicle collision matters. Additionally, Ben has experience in business law including contract negotiation and prelitigation dispute resolution, and both plaintiff and defense-side commercial litigation. Further, he was in-house counsel for a large resort developer where he resolved consumer and regulatory complaints and was the associate general counsel for litigation. Ben’s experience also includes regulatory compliance and working with various levels of government on behalf of his clients.

During law school, Ben was awarded the Barry Achievement in Community Excellence Fellowship where he was able to work on first amendment litigation with the Central Florida ACLU, and also served as a Study Skills Leader, assisting first year law students in forming successful study habits and developing legal writing ability. Ben received his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin (go Bucky).

In his spare time, Ben enjoys spending time with his two wonderful children, playing rugby around the globe, snowboarding, and cooking. He also provides pro-bono legal service to the Las Vegas Rugby Club, which is a 501(c)(3) organization that works to develop rugby players for national and international competition.
