Benjamin S. Proto, Jr.

Benjamin S. Proto, Jr. is an experienced attorney based in Stratford, Connecticut, where he has lived since 1986. Before establishing his own practice in 2003, Benjamin held several notable legal positions in public service. He served as Counsel and Chief Counsel to the Connecticut House Republican Caucus from 1987 to 1996, and as an attorney with the Office of Consumer Counsel for the State of Connecticut from 1996 to 2002. During his tenure, he negotiated the largest rate case settlement in Connecticut with Southern Connecticut Gas Company.

Benjamin’s legal practice focuses on land use and real estate development, and he has secured approvals for some of Stratford’s largest projects, including multi-use waterfront and active-adult housing developments.
