Bernadette “Ginger” McGuire is the founder and managing attorney of McGuire Law. With more than 23 years of legal experience, Ginger has built her career around guiding individuals and families through some of life’s most challenging transitions—whether seeking safety, reuniting with loved ones, or building a future in the United States.

Ginger founded McGuire Law in 2006 with a vision to provide accessible, high-quality legal representation rooted in compassion and integrity. Her inspiration comes from her own family’s immigration story, which instilled in her a deep appreciation for the courage and resilience of those who seek a new beginning in a foreign land. That personal connection drives her to ensure that every client who walks through her firm’s doors is treated with dignity, understanding, and respect.

Throughout her career, Ginger has successfully represented clients in a wide range of immigration matters, including family-based petitions, highly skilled workers, waivers, removal defense, humanitarian relief, and complex litigation. Her depth of experience extends across the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR), the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA), and several Federal Circuit Courts of Appeals. Known for her strategic approach and calm advocacy, Ginger has earned a reputation for taking on challenging cases and achieving favorable outcomes even in complex or precedent-setting situations.

Her contributions to the legal community extend to her long-standing involvement in the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). Ginger has served in numerous leadership roles, including as President of the AILA Colorado Chapter and as an elected officer of AILA’s New Members Division. She has also served as liaison on behalf of the Colorado Chapter to key agencies, including the Denver Executive Office for Immigration Review and the GEO Detention Facility in Aurora, Colorado.

A respected voice in her field, Ginger is a frequent national speaker for AILA, where she presents on topics such as family-based immigration, removal defense, litigation strategies, and practice management. Her presentations reflect her depth of legal knowledge, her commitment to professional excellence, and her willingness to share insights that help other practitioners better serve their clients.
