Hailing from
Alpharetta, Georgia, and a graduate of Milton High School, Bert's
academic journey led him to the University of Georgia, where he
earned a bachelor's degree in political science. Subsequently, after
contributing to the State Capitol and executive teams of non-profit
organizations, he obtained his Juris Doctor degree from Mercer
University School of Law. Bert's commitment to legal excellence was
further underscored by his role as Vice-President of the Student Bar
Association and induction into the Order of the Barristers for his
accomplishments in oral advocacy.
Admitted to
practice in all Georgia courts, including the Court of Appeals and
Supreme Court of Georgia, Bert also holds admission to the Supreme
Court of the United States. Beyond his legal pursuits, Bert finds joy
in playing basketball and golf, passionately supporting the Dawgs and
Atlanta's sports teams, and cherishing moments with his wife, two
young daughters, and Great Dane, Ponce.

74th President of the Young Lawyers Division (2020-2021) for the
State Bar of Georgia, Executive Committee Member (2019 – present),
Vice-Chair of the Bench and Bar Committee (2021 – present), and

(2020-2021). His involvement also encompasses leadership roles in the
Cobb County Bar Association and recognitions such as the Ross Adams
