Bethany Hill: Attorney with King & Siegel LLP

Biography

Bethany Hill graduated from Yale Law School in 2018 and now practices at King & Siegel LLP, where she is grateful to advocate on behalf of survivors of discrimination, retaliation, harassment and wage theft. She also maintains a False Claims Act practice, helping whistleblowers who were subjected to adverse employment actions up to and including termination. Bethany was named a Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2021-2022.

Prior to joining King & Siegel, Bethany worked at a prominent Bay Area plaintiff firm in a wide variety of civil litigation areas. She helped secure some of the largest eight-figure False Claims Act settlements in the country, successfully obtained settlements from national banks for victims of elder financial abuse and wire fraud, enforced property rights of small farmers whose resources were being infringed from wealthy landowners, and helped obtain six-figure settlements for victims of wrongful termination.

Before transitioning to litigation, Bethany worked in corporate matters at a large technology-focused law firm, helping startup companies obtain funding to solve pressing concerns, from environmental sustainability to national security.

In law school, Bethany served as a board member of the American Constitution Society and Law Students for Reproductive Justice. She also served as the lead organizer of the Yale and New Haven Discussion Series, which focused on the resource disparities and collaborative opportunities between Yale and New Haven. In addition to her leadership positions, Bethany tutored math and English in maximum security prisons, advocated for people facing eviction in the Housing Clinic, and worked to develop local business in the Community & Economic Development Clinic. Since graduating, Bethany has provided pro bono services to Bay Area Legal Aid, organizations supporting animal welfare, and various other nonprofit organizations.

Bethany graduated summa cum laude with her B.A. in Political Science from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where she received UCLA’s Undergraduate Research Scholarship Program Award and the Ahmanson Foundation Research Award. Bethany also founded and served as President of Polis, a political theory club that grew to hundreds of members across disciplines.

In her spare time, Bethany enjoys working out, cooking, attending live performing arts events (when safe), and chilling with Mochi the cat.
